New art exhibition of paintings by Joanna Soesbergen

Mrs. Soesbergen and her husband moved from Holland as newlyweds to settle in the Chateauguay Valley in 1955, where they set up a dairy farm in Dundee. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Huntingdon, leaving the farm to her two sons. She had four children and now has nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. As her children grew older, she was active as a volunteer in the Community Action program and helped out in a seniors residence run by Diane Pratt. Following her move to Huntingdon, Mrs. Soesbergen took art classes with Mr. Vandergeest and has been an avid painter ever since. She also took an art course with the Valley's Pat Walsh.

The vernissage will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
